Akshara Foundation has a range of programmes to
address the issue of quality universal elementary
education. What started as an initiative in a
few slums in Bangalore city has now grown into
a large grass roots movement in many parts of
Karnataka.
The organization works closely with the State
Government, the corporate sector and local citizens.
All the programmes are designed to be low cost,
scalable, replicable and sustainable.
